How We Produced an Off-Broadway Album in One Day

As a full-service marketing and communications agency, litenflame is always exploring creative challenges, but this one takes the temporary cake. Katie and I decided to see if we could write, produce, and release an entire album in just one day. Crazy? Maybe. Fun? Absolutely. After playing around with a previous album that lacked a cohesive theme, we decided this time we’d aim for something a bit more ambitious—an Off-Broadway conceptual piece that told a story from one song to the next.

The story? A coming-of-age AI conversing with humanity.

We furiously typed lyrics, wrote complex prompts, and spent some time researching popular music structures. We started with a creation theme, imagining the birth of AI, gradually adding layers of conversation between it and humanity. Some songs went deep into philosophy—what is consciousness?—while others kept things lighthearted and comedic. We even threw in a Voltaire-themed song about video games. This wasn't meant to be a serious project; there was no end game—just a creative challenge that turned out to be a great deal of fun.

The result? Well, it might impress you. Or frighten you. Or, who knows, maybe even inspire you.

Here it is, for what it’s worth:

If nothing else, it’s proof that sometimes the best creative projects are the ones that are just experiments in pure, unfiltered fun.

Great team-building activity, highly recommend.
